Remember when McCain blasted Obama for not talking about Latin America during a recent trip to Europe? Well, here is New York City’s Hoy‘s take on last Thursday’s emotional madness.

Does everything have to be Hispanic-centered? I mean… just asking.

    eeeh.. I thought his speech included immigration… it was not all immigrant oriented, as it wasn’t all health or education oriented… but he did touch on it. Are the “Hoy” reporters smoking something?.. or maybe they need to go to an ear doctor? or just simply clean their ears. From Obama’s speech…” You know, passions may fly on immigration, but I don’t know anyone who benefits when a mother is separated from her infant child…”

    I love it. Every other day Hoy and El Diario manage to publish the same article about the “Hispanic aspect” of the campaign, when nothing has really happened, and as if it were the only way in which Spanish media can approach the election. Of course it is an important topic for their readership, but it would be interesting if now and then they used their resources in explaining some of the other issues.
