What are they waiting for?

If the owners of Beaner’s Coffee took 12 years to “realize” the other meaning of the word beaner, I wonder how long it’ll take for these babies to say adiós to their long-standing household name. (Thanks HighJive for the tip)

Not that I take any of this too seriously (I am still cracking up about the beaner’s fiasco) but it would be fun to see who’s next. Stay tuned!

  1. God help us if they ban this product now. This is ridiculous. As for Beaner’s Coffee, Carlos Mencía uses the word “beaner” in his show. If the name of the coffee shop had been “Wetback Coffee,” then fine, change it.

  2. Only the ones that are very insecured find ofense in words that don’t mean much, blacks have never been able to find their real human value and everything and anything nis discriminating nto them. We as Latinos are beter than that and don’t need insecure people to start taking our race to the same hole that the black leaders have taken their race.

  3. I agree Marco, latinos outside the US aren’t so sensitive. We have songs like “negro benbón” and “mamí, la negra está rabiosa.” People who sing crap like that should not be offended by “Beaner’s Coffee.” The problem is we got a few latino activists making a lot of noise.
