Laura — How about throwing your virtual weight behind the effort aimed at convincing New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson to PARDON PETER LYNCH, the Air Force veteran found guilty of a crime after he removed a Mexican flag from the University of New Mexico after he found it flying alone, told officials about the violation of flag protocol and ran up against a “brick wall” before taking matters into his own hands and removing the flag. How about throwing your virtual weight against Pret a Manger, the British food chain whose add sounds something like “this makes us sick, but the French knows how to make good sandwiches” ? The Absolut wanna-be boycotter would solemnly pour Absolut vodka in front of Pret a Manger — I am sure most of them did pour French wines in front of French consulates when the war in Irak started in 2003; They would hence retaliate against Absolut and protest against the French honor’s bafflement by this British chain!

Laura — How about throwing your virtual weight against the Absolut vodka bottle on the advertisement you brought to our attention. This representation of a vodka bottle has –in violation of the territorial sovereignty and international protocol– been positioned over the country of Belize. Truly anyone who loves Belize cannot but be shocked at this imperialistic representation! I understand the Belize embassy has run up against an Absolut “brick wall” in trying to get this unpatriotic (for Belizians) ad out of Mexico.
I encourage you and your readers to write your congressman today about this Absolut affront towards Belize and boycott the placement of bottles over countries in general!
