Meet the Bus Ateo (The Atheist Bus), featuring the latest advertising effort by Spain’s Unión de Ateos y Librepensadores, which on Jan. 12 will roll buses in Catalunya and Madrid encouraging citizens to stop worrying and enjoy life, as God probably doesn’t exist. The slogan reads:
“Probablemente Dios no existe. Deja de preocuparte y disfruta la vida.“
Correct me if I’m wrong, but if the campaign claims that God probably doesn’t exist, shouldn’t we be calling it the Agnostic Bus, instead?
Only God knows.
I, as an atheist. Wouldn’t have picked those words my self.
But I’m guessing they chose it to be polite… rather than just going with a plain:
God does not exist… which, for that matter, would be too strong a religious message to be at all effective.
They’re not trying to convince the atheists of the unexistance of God, after all.
No habia un campaña parecida en un pais de habla inglesa?
Gran blog el que llevas, por cierto, felicidades.
Jesus, what is wrong with this bus? somebody should fix it instead of using it to go about preaching things. He, he
This totally makes me want to move to Madrid. But they need to remove the “probablemente” first. And add a line about how everyone should stop judging everyone, too.
Te tienes que descojonar de risa. Esta buenisimo.
It’s a straight copy of the UK campaign – http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7681914.stm
