German Madrazo, the 43-year-old Mexican who had NEVER skied until last year, finished last in Friday’s 15km cross country competition at the Olympic Games at the PyeongChang’s Winter Olympics in South Korea.
See? It’s all true what our abuelas used to say: It doesn’t matter if you’re first –or last– the most important is to compete… *and* wave a huge Mexican flag while you’re at it.

The winter Olympics are here y’all -and while you might think Mexico’s strongest suit is its Olympic ski team, we are also considered to be a strong contender in yet another category: BEST SOMBRERO… at least according to the prestigious BBC.

President Trump might have some evil plans in store for my people (i.e. The Mexicans,) but — at least for now — some of us take great pleasure in the simple, little things. Like Mexican Ices in the summer heat, for example.

If there was any doubt that Mexicans have taken over the USA, take a walk on the wild side… of The Bronx; more especifically, around Webster Avenue, one of the borough’s longest throughfares, and you’ll come across El Rancho, formerly NY Capital Bank, and now home of some of the most delish Mexican food in the area.
Because, really, who needs walls — and/or banks — when you can have tacos?

Leave it to Mexican casting directors — and advertising agencies — to enlist the least diverse group of children to star in a commmercial touting, well, the country’s amazing bio-diversity.
Not that I’m really surprised since Mexicans on television tend to look a bit whiter than your average Mexican, but still.
BESIDES: What the hell is going on in this commercial? Why not feature ACTUAL animals, plants and such?

You can accuse my people (i.e. The Mexicans) of being lazy and all, but there is one thing we truly excel at: Fiscal Policy Innovation.
Take the town of San Nicolás de los Garza, in Northern Mexico, which is inviting property owners to a weight-loss program whose goal is to shed 10 kilograms or more during a 10-week period. The reward? A family whose combined weight loss totals 10 kilos or more will get a 50 percent credit on their 2017 taxes.
I think that is a really awesome program, especially in a state known for its world-class cabrito, which would make any property owner think twice before embracing any type of weight-loss challenge.
Personally, I do not plan to lose weight, nor quit cabrito any time soon, so it’s a great thing I don’t own property after all.
