I’m Fine, But Thanks for Asking!

I want to thank all my concerned friends and colleagues nationwide who have written and called today asking if I’m OK.

See? I’ve been writing some stuff that pissed some people off, and then, all of a sudden, ¡Pum! Some “weird device” explodes in front of the Mexican Consulate in New York City. Mind you, I was thinking of going to renew my matrícula consular on Monday but given the situation, I might wait until the coast is clear. My friend Juan suggests I wear a wig, but I guess that’s not safe enough.

Have a wonderful weekend, and remember: If you see something… say something!

Recién descubro este blog. Me uno a la lista de suscriptores. Saludos y por aquí nos leemos.

For what it’s worth, I appreciate your voice at The Big Tent. A lot of the contributors seem to use it as vehicle to sell their own services. Others are almost delusional in their sanitized perspectives. Regardless, the goal (I thought) was to provide a forum for opinions and debate. There’s a reason why writers like you and Ferrer are getting the most comments: You’re doing what the fucking blog was intended to do. It’s always unfortunate when critics want to attack people versus attack ideas.

ditto HighJive’s comment. The question remains – if a wig were you to use, what color wig would you use?

  4. What HighJive said. 🙂 Keep rockin’ it!
